Ways to remove Dry Erase from Clothing

It is best to test these methods on a small, hidden part of the garment such as an inside hem or seem to see if it will damage the garment in any way as some of the removers may harm certain materials.

1. Murphy?s Oil Soap ? Douse the stain on the outside of the garment with Murphy?s Oil Soap.  Lay it out on a washcloth or towel and scrub from the inside with a toothbrush.  Lift garment frequently to check and move it to fresh spots on the towel or washcloth until the color no longer shows up on the garment or towel/washcloth.

2. Rubbing Alcohol ? Blot the garment with a paper towel dipped in rubbing alcohol.  Keep blotting with a dry towel to help it dry.  The marker should eventually disappear.  Often works in conjunction with some dish soap after the initial use of the rubbing alcohol.

3. Amodex Ink Remover ? Recommended by many of the companies that sell dry erase markers.  Keep the garment dry; wetting it can cause the stain to become difficult to remove with this product.  Simply follow the instructions on the label.

4. Dry Erase Board Cleaner ? Apply dry erase board cleaner to the stain and blot with a wet paper towel.  This should remove the stains.

5. Dish Soap ? Works best on white garments in conjunction with bleach.  Apply the dish soap and scrub gently but thoroughly.  When the stain has faded, wash with bleach and the stain should be completely removed.

6. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser ? Keep garment dry.  Four or five swipes of the eraser should remove the stains from T-Shirts.
